A. Overview:
Tom Sullivan interviewed Kathleen Fearn-Banks at the WVOX studio in New Rochelle, NY on 12/23/13. Kathleen Fearn-Banks is a professor of Communications at The University of Washington in Seattle. She is the author of Crisis Communications: A Casebook Approach and also The Historical Dictionary of African-American Television. Professor Fearn-Banks was previously a feature writer for The Los Angeles Times and a local television writer, producer and reporter in Los Angeles. She also worked for the NBC television network for more than 20 years. Professor Fearn-Banks is currently at work on What You See is What You Get- The Biography of Flip Wilson. The book was inspired by her long friendship with Flip Wilson with whom she worked at NBC.
